The Greenwood Corvettes raced from the sixties well into the seventies and eighties. John Greenwood was a street racer from Detroit who gained an interest in driving Corvettes around corners instead of in straight lines. Starting in the late sixties, he decided to make the transition from drag racing to road racing. This decision would lead him to international competition from around the world. He started by self sponsoring himself and soon he picked up a few major sponsors along the way. His racing would eventually attract the B. F. Goodrich Tire company which helped him leave his mark in Corvette racing forever! The evolution of racing would lead him to the development of the wide body Corvettes which would set top speed records in the late seventies. Advanced suspension designs were a common place with John Greenwood. John had many co-drivers including Don Yenko.
Corvette Racing Legends features John Greenwood and his spectacular racing Corvettes from Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta, and more! See Greenwood Corvettes in action when they were new!
All of the racing photos in this book were taken back in the 60s and 70s when and where they happened.
